Consumers discover and share music via iTunes Plugin
The easiest way to promote your music using iLike is simply to tell all your existing fans to install the iLike Sidebar for iTunes. If people who own your music start using iLike, then your music will automatically start being recommended to new fans who share the same tastes! Furthermore, your music will show up in various "Recently played" or "Most played" charts. We plan on building more charts to help users discover music by unsigned artists, and one great way to move up these charts is to get your existing fans to sign up for iLike and the iLike Sidebar for iTunes.
If you are an unsigned musician and you want to provide music to be included among the iLike recommendations and free weekly downloads, then submit your music online at GarageBand.com and make sure to select the "Enter contest" option. Important Note: If you submit your music but don't submit to Enter the contest, your songs will be available on GarageBand.com and on iLike.com, but they won't show up in recommendations or related-artist lists
